Apps and Tiles Not Working or Responding: Fix in Windows 8

One of my fan on my Facebook Fan page(nkjaksonThemes) send me a message that  Apps and Live Tiles are Not Working in Windows 8.

 So here is the fix for it.
Step 1. Press Windows Key + R.

 Step 2. Type Services.msc in run box.


Step 3. There will be a Option for Windows Firewall.


Step 4. Right Click on it and Stop it.




Step 5. Right Click and go to Properties in general you will find Start Up Type Change  to Manual.


Now All your Metro Apps and Live Tiles Will Start Updating.
NOTE:- After Stopping Firewall of  Windows your Computer is at Risk as i am using Avast Internet Security it has it's Own Firewall so I Suggest You to Install any Internet Security On your Windows

    I just followed the steps and it is not working. I restarted and still nothing. Is there any other steps I can take to make this work?

    I have followed all the steps and still nothing. I can see on the tile for the store that I have 27 updates available but when I click on the tile it closes out after about 1 sec.

    I just followed the steps and it is not working. I restarted and still nothing. Is there any other steps I can take to make this work?

    i found this http://tools.atechmate.com/windows8apps.html while i was searching for my problems with skype on windows 8. i found it helpful as there is a check list of various possible reasons that might make windows 8 apps and tiles unresponsive or non functional

    Can someone help me when i click my apps it wont work it well say. "This app cant open Check the windows store for more info about my app" plss someone help me ASAP.

    Ok, fix your windows 8 with Kernel for windows data recovery software to repair every booting and log errors and also recover complete data files from windows 8. The support all over version of windows OS with (32 Bit and 64 Bit).
